NICL-Administrative Officers Scale- 1

NICL is basically a general company of insurance that is owned by the state. They recruit eligible candidates as Administrative Officer.

NICL was founded in the year 1906 but in 1972 it was nationalized. The Headquarter of NICL is located in Kolkata. The exam will be held through three processes – Phase I (Preliminary), Phase II (Mains) and Phase III (Interview).

Description of phases for the examination

Phase 1 (Preliminary)

You will get 60 minutes in Preliminary Exam to finish your paper of 100 marks.
Paper consists of objectives types questions.

Phase 1 (Mains)

Mains are divided into two parts – objective and descriptive.
The objective part consists of 200 marks where you will get 120 to finish it.
The descriptive part consists of 30 marks on your English language proficiency skills.

Phase 3 (interview process)

The final selection will be done after the Interview process. After the Interview process, the finally selected eligible candidates will get the chance to work as NICL Administrative Officers in Scale – 1 cadre.

Age criteria and qualification

Candidates belonging to the General and OBC category should have a minimum of 60% marks in graduation for being eligible for this exam whereas 55% marks in graduation are needed for the candidates belong to SC or ST category.
