*The Mains exam will consists of questions only from the Professional Knowledge Subject. The Marks that you obtain in the Prelims exams will not be included in the final Merit list. The Marks that you obtain in the Mains will only be considered for shortlisting for Interviews.

Stages of IBPS PO examination (Tier 1- Preliminary Exam), (Tier 2 – Mains) and Tier 3 (Interview Process).

This exam is organized in three tiers – Tier 1(Preliminary Exam), Tier 2 (Mains) and Tier 3 (Interview Process). In Tier 1 you will get MCQ type questions.

Tier 1- Preliminary Exam

You will be given a paper of 100 marks.
60 minutes will be given to complete the paper.
Each question will carry 1 mark and you will get a total of 100 questions that you will have to finish within only 1 hour. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Tier 2 – Mains

You will be given a paper of 200 marks.
135 minutes will be given to finish the paper.
Each question will carry 1 mark and you will get a total of 100 questions that you will have to finish within only 1 hour. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Tier 3- Interview Process

The final selection will be held in the interview process. The finally selected eligible candidates will be allowed to join as an IBPS Clerk. It is notable that the Final selection will be depended on the merit of Mains as well as Interview.

Stages of examination

This exam is organized by IBPS and held through three steps like Preliminary Exam, Mains and Interview. Computer knowledge is a must for cracking this examination. The final selection will be done after the Interview process.
